Cut‑pile or plusher constructions feel softer underfoot but can show traffic and require more maintenance. Colour and texture affect visual impact and slip perception—darker or patterned tones can disguise wear, while lighter blues will read differently depending on light and surrounding finishes. Some carpet ranges are available in wider formats, which can reduce joins; current widths vary by product and should be confirmed.
